— WHAT I’M BUILDING

Software for people who run their business alone.

Not advice, not theory, tools I build inside real businesses, starting with my own, then hand to other people running theirs solo.

LIVE — IN TESTING

A business co-pilot for solo tradies. Jobs, quotes, invoicing and money, all in one place — plus a daily briefing that flags what needs attention before it becomes a problem. Built inside a real plumbing business, now in testing with other tradies.

Most tradies find out they’ve undercharged at tax time — when it’s too late to do anything about it. They’re flat out on the tools, and everything else — pricing, invoicing, GST, knowing if a job actually made money — gets carried in their head or falls through the cracks entirely.

OneTradie carries it with them instead.

What it does:

  • Jobs, quotes, invoices and clients — all in one place, so nothing gets re-entered three times or forgotten
  • A daily briefing — a plain-English rundown of what needs attention today: an overdue invoice, a job that’s stalled, a renewal coming up
  • Money you can trust — real costs and rough estimates kept separate on purpose, GST tracked automatically, “what you actually took home,” not a vague revenue number
  • Know your floor before you quote — set your income target and real costs once, and every job is checked against the minimum margin you need, before you say yes to it

Proof, not promises:
159 real jobs and 83 real clients have already run through OneTradie — for one real Adelaide plumbing business, built by the person who does its books, not a software company.

Why I built it:
I run the business side of a plumbing business with my partner, Dan — the pricing, the invoicing, the numbers. Telling him his numbers and him actually seeing them turned out to be two different things. OneTradie is what closed that gap. It’s live, it’s used daily, and it’s now expanding to a small group of other tradies testing it for real.

IN PROGRESS

The engine underneath OneTradie, being built to eventually support any solo service business, not just trades. Right now it’s single-player: just me, using it to run my own admin, working out the rough edges before it’s anywhere near ready for anyone else.

No waitlist, no pitch. I’ll share more when there’s something real to show.
